Your Day-by-Day Journey

A calm winter route through Tokyo’s edges, coastal towns, historic rail cities, deep-snow valleys, northern ports, and the open streets of Hokkaido.

DAYS 1–13

Tokyo: arrival & Shibuya night

Ease in, check in, and let Tokyo meet you gently — first impressions, warm streets, and an unhurried welcome into winter Japan.

Core Experiences
  • Shibuya Crossing & first winter city walk
  • Lantern alleys & a relaxed welcome dinner

Tokyo: backstreets, calm corners & winter flavours

A fuller Tokyo day — not the loud version, but the lived-in one: neighbourhood streets, small rituals, and time to wander without pressure.

Core Experiences
  • Asakusa lanes & riverside winter air
  • Ueno / Yanaka-style old Tokyo walking pocket (season-led)
  • Warm café stop + local street snacks (veg-friendly)

Kamakura & Yokohama: sea air, temples & harbour light

A day of contrast — temples and coastline, then open harbour streets — returning to Tokyo feeling lighter, not tired.

Core Experiences
  • Kamakura temple paths & winter sea air
  • Yokohama waterfront stroll & wide winter skies
  • Authentic Chinese Dinner in China Town

Aizu-Wakamatsu: castle town & snow-country shift

Today the journey turns deeper — into a historic town where winter slows everything down and the story changes pace.

  • Castle town walk & winter streets
  • Samurai-era lanes and local craft pockets
  • Early evening in a quieter, colder Japan

Core Experiences
  • Sendai city stroll & winter shopping streets
  • Quiet viewpoints / parks depending on weather
  • Early night, light pace

Yamagata: into deep winter & onsen quiet

We move into the kind of winter most travellers never see — softer sound, heavier snow, and evenings designed for stillness.

Core Experiences
  • Brief Aomori stopover for winter streets & coastal air
  • Snow-and-sea landscapes as the journey thins out
  • Arrival into Hakodate by evening

Hakodate: port-city light & open winter skies

After distance and transition, Hakodate opens up — sea air, clean streets, and winter light that feels expansive rather than heavy.

Trip Lead & Experience Designer

Hi, I’m Abhay.

I’ve been travelling across Japan since 2009. I studied there as a university exchange student, speak Japanese, and continue returning season after season — building close local friendships and exploring regions beyond the usual routes.

Japan isn’t a checklist for me. It’s a place I know deeply and keep coming back to.

Hi, I’m Shivani.

I’ve been travelling across Japan since 2016, experiencing it across seasons and regions. Alongside my full-time work as a dental surgeon, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for Japan’s culture and aesthetic sensibility.

Japan is a place I genuinely enjoy sharing — helping the group feel comfortable and at ease along the way.

Solo & Women Travelers

We keep the group small, stay in safe, central neighborhoods, and move mostly by trains. Your trip lead is with you throughout — someone to guide, translate, and help whenever needed. You’ll have your own space when you want it, and friendly company when you don’t want to be alone.

Around 80% of our travelers join solo or as pairs — the group always feels friendly, relaxed, and easy to connect with.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Clean, comfortable, and well-located hotels in central neighbourhoods, close to transit and great local dining. We choose reliable, thoughtfully designed places that make it easy to explore the city during the day and unwind in the evening.

Rooms in Japan are typically more compact than in Europe or the US, but they are modern, efficient, and located exactly where you want to be.

That’s completely okay. Japan has veg-friendly, vegan, halal-friendly, and other flexible options. Your trip lead helps with restaurant suggestions and ordering.

Expect 8,000–12,000 steps depending on the day. The pace is gentle and we take breaks. This is not a rushed tour.
